☽ Internal Family Systems (IFS) ☾
◉ IFS- Informed Therapy ◉
◎ IFS, also known as “parts work,” is a compassionate and transformative approach that helps you explore the many parts of your internal world. You might have a perfectionist part, an anxious part, a hurt inner child, or a part that keeps you distant in relationships. In IFS, we assume these parts are trying to help you—but may be stuck in old roles or protective strategies.◎
◎ Together, we build a relationship with each part, listening to its fears, intentions, and unmet needs. As your inner system begins to feel heard and respected, you may notice more ease, clarity, and a deepening connection with your core Self.◎
◎IFS blends beautifully with EMDR and somatic therapy, creating space for integration and deep healing.◎
☽ A Medicine Woman’s Prayer ☾
I will not rescue you, for you are not powerless
I will not fix you, for you are not broken.
I will not heal you, for I see you in your wholeness.
I will walk with you through the darkness as you remember your light.

We can have anxious part, perfectionistic parts, people-pleasing parts, parts that block emotion, parts that flood us with emotion, parts that over-analyze or intellectualize, just to name a few. They often have an intention to protect us by helping us predict and control our surroundings, keep the people around us calm so we don’t experience their emotion, work to put out the pain of our own emotions, and so much more.

Burdens are the beliefs, feelings, expectations, traumas and patterns that were placed on us at a young age and sometimes older. They can come from our relationships with our care-givers, from our ancestors or lineage, from our culture and our societal norms and expectations. IFS allows us to identify these burdens and release them so we can feel more freedom and autonomy to be ourselves.
