About Me

Hello, I'm Nicole Farber (She/Her), and I'm excited to share a bit about my therapeutic journey with you. I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and am deeply passionate about the work I do.

My journey in trauma therapy has been a continuous evolution. Recognizing the profound impact trauma can have on one's well-being, I've dedicated myself to strengthening my skills and background in this vital area. I've undergone specialized training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), two powerful approaches that I integrate into my practice to offer a holistic and effective therapeutic experience.

Working with a diverse range of clients has been an integral part of my professional growth. Each individual's story is unique, and I believe in tailoring my approach to meet the specific needs of those I work with. This diversity of experiences has enriched my understanding of the human experience and deepened my ability to connect with and support clients from various backgrounds.

Creating a safe and compassionate space for exploration and healing is at the core of my practice. I'm dedicated to fostering an environment where clients feel empowered to share their stories and work towards their goals. My warm and collaborative approach is centered on building a therapeutic relationship that supports growth and transformation.

Why Liminal Spaces?

Welcome to a space where the in-between isn't just acknowledged but celebrated—a space that understands the beauty and strength found in life's liminal spaces. I'm no stranger to the dance of transition, having been born to a South African mother and an American father in the enchanting backdrop of Germany.

From an early age, my journey was marked by the in-between. As a young child, I moved to the States with a stateless passport, unable to attain citizenship from any country until early adolescence, I navigated a world where I felt I didn’t belong neither here nor there. Always on the outside looking in, I discovered the power of the liminal—the spaces between destinations and definitions.

As I sorted through different aspects of my identity from childhood to adulthood, I found my home in the in-between. I began to embrace the beauty of the liminal, realizing that it's not a void but a space filled with potential and possibility. It's a space where we discover resilience, creativity, and a unique sense of self.

Through my own experiences, I've come to appreciate the strength that comes from embracing the in-between. It has become my mission to extend a welcoming hand to others navigating their own liminal spaces. Whether you're grappling with life changes, identity shifts, or the uncertainty of the unknown, I'm here to guide you through.

In the in-between, we find connection, understanding, and a shared journey. I invite you to explore this transformative space together, celebrating the richness that comes from embracing the liminal.
